A peek into my journey

My design journey began at six, recreating things I saw Rob make on MAD. I've always been fascinated by the idea of turning a thought into something tangible, and eventually, I decided to make a career out of that curiosity by studying Product Design at NIFT Bangalore.

A little over six years into digital product design, I've worked with early-stage startups as a sole designer, collaborated with teams across geographies, and partnered with clients who were alien to the world of design. Each experience has taught me that good design is a lot beyond making things look or work better. It's about understanding people, navigating different perspectives, and helping others see the value of a creative solution.

Over time, I've learnt to start designing for the people who might find a product hardest to use, rather than treating their needs as an afterthought. “Good design is invisible” is a principle I often come back to, the best experiences should feel effortless, even when a great deal of thought went into making them that way.

Design has also made me more open to perspectives beyond my own. That curiosity has carried into mentoring, something I've been doing for over five years through my work with junior designers and design aspirants on ADPList. I enjoy helping people find clarity in their thinking and grow more confident in their approach to design.

Outside work, you'll usually find me experimenting in the kitchen, travelling to the mountains, painting, or volunteering as a teacher for local government schools.
